Fanout

Terms

Last updated 20 August 2026

Plain terms for a small product. Using Fanout means you accept them.

The service

Fanout publishes posts you write to the social networks you connect. We do our best to deliver everything on time and to tell you honestly when something fails — but the networks are outside our control, and outages, API changes or account restrictions can stop a post going out.

Your account

You are responsible for what you publish through Fanout and for following each network's rules. Keep access to your email secure: it is how you sign in.

Paying

Plans are billed monthly through Polar, our merchant of record, who handle payment and any applicable tax. Cancel whenever you like — your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and we do not pro-rate part-months.

Posting to X

X charges per post through its API, and Fanout pays that bill. Each plan therefore includes a monthly allowance of X posting, shown in the console as you write. Publishing to X pauses when the allowance runs out; every other network keeps working.

Fair use

Automated bulk posting, spam, or anything that puts our access to a network at risk may have its account suspended. We would rather talk first.

Liability

Fanout is provided as-is. We are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous three months.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will email you before the change takes effect.
